Certification of Additional Senators for AY 2024-2026 Term

Background

Section 12 of the Faculty Senate Bylaws creates an annual process by which elections are conducted. Under this process, the Appointments and Elections Officer must submit a proposed election schedule and distribution list for approval by the Faculty Senate during the Winter Quarter, with elections to be conducted by college governance bodies and certified by the Faculty Senate. 

Senate Action

The Senate approved by consent a motion  by Appointments and Elections Officer Johan Neem and seconded to certify following new Senators for the AY 2024-2026 term:

• Steven Garfinkle - CBE (Economics) (AY 2024-25 only)
• Stephanie Gomez - CHSS-HUM (Journalism and Communications Studies)
