Certification of Additional Senators for AY 2025-2027 Term

Faculty Senate Bylaws create an annual process by which elections are conducted. Under this process, the Appointments and Elections Officer must submit a proposed election schedule and distribution list for approval by the Faculty Senate during the Winter Quarter, with elections to be conducted by college governance bodies and certified by the Faculty Senate during the Spring Quarter. 

On June 2, the 2025-2026 Faculty Senate was seated and held elections for Executive Council officers. At that time, there were four remaining vacancies to be filled by college governance bodies.

On September, 2025, Appointments and Elections Officer Gabe Gossett made a motion on behalf of Executive Council to certify the following Senators for the AY 2025-2027 Senate Term:

• Maura O'Leary (CHSS-SBS-Linguistics)
• Jane Wong (CHSS-HUM-Ethnic Studies)
• Heather Moore (CHSS-SLHS and HHD)
• Patrick Buckley (CENV)

The motion passed by consent.
