Definition of Good Academic Standing

Background
At the May 12, 2026, ACC meeting. Shelli Soto, Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, reported that the AY 2026-27 Catalog language regarding good academic standing requires that students have a cumulative and quarterly GPA of 2.0 or above. This language has not been reviewed or approved by faculty governance. The current policy in the AY 2025-26 Catalog only includes the cumulative GPA language; however, transcripts incorporate both cumulative and quarterly GPA in showing good academic standing.
It was requested that ACC approve the clarified language.
ACC Action
On May 12, 2026, Tim Bruce (WCE) moved to approve the amended language (and seconded). The motion passed unanimously.
