Endorsing the Resolution Passed by WWU Libraries Faculty Regarding Administration Decisions Impacting Services and Resources

During Items from the Floor at the March 10 Senate meeting, Senator Gabe Gossett (Libraries) read a statement regarding cuts to libraries staff and services and their impact on the entire campus. Senate President Slouber noted that the lack of consultation with Library leadership was unacceptable. 

On April 3, a resolution regarding this issue was unanimously approved by Libraries faculty and forwarded to Senate Executive Council. At its April 14 meeting, Senate Exec agreed to offer a motion to endorse the Libraries faculty resolution.

On April 21, the Senate unanimously adopted a motion from Senate Executive Council to support the resolution passed by Western Libraries faculty regarding Western Administration decisions about personnel impacting services and resources.
