Proposed Winter 2026-Spring 2026 Moratorium on CUE Review of New GUR Requests

Background
On May 29, 2025, the Committee on Undergraduate Education approved a motion to place a moratorium for new GUR requests from Winter 2026 through Spring 2026. The rationale for the moratorium includes creating workload sustainability for CUE members and delaying review of new GUR proposals until CUE completes a GUR review under the charge of the GUR Review and PEJ Recommendations Task Force.
ACC Action
On October 7, 2025, a motion by Midori Takagi (and seconded) to approve the proposed moratorium was approved unanimously.
On October 13, 2025, a motion to approve a Winter 2026 – Spring 2026 moratorium on CUE review of new GUR requests was made by James Ray (and seconded). The motion was approved by a vote of 15 yes, nine no, three abstentions.
