Technical Corrections to CUE Membership Roster

The CUE membership roster is not in alignment with ACC and other Senate Committee rosters that were approved as part of the Faculty Handbook revisions in Spring 2025. At that time, the number of ASWWU Senate-appointed students serving as voting members of a committee was standardized to one per committee, with any additional ASWWU Senate-appointed students serving as non-voting members. Because the CUE roster is part of the ACC Handbook, rather than the Senate bylaws, it was not included in the update. However, in AY 2025-26, CUE has followed the spirit of the revised Senate bylaws by having one voting and one non-voting student member.

A change is proposed to the ACC Handbook to modify the existing CUE membership to reduce the number of voting members who are students appointed by the ASWWU Senate from two to one and to add one student appointed by the ASWWU Senate to the advisory membership.

On April 28, a motion by Tammi Laninga (and seconded) to modify the current CUE membership roster to reflect that one ASWWU-appointed student will serve as a voting member and one will serve as a non-voting member was approved by a vote of 9 yes, 0 no, 1 abstain.
