Transfer of Credit for Professional Technical and Vocational Courses

Background
On February 18, 2025, Commissioners discussed proposed changes to Transfer of Credit applicable to vocational courses under the Transfer Admission section of Undergraduate Admission in the University Catalog. Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management Shelli Soto reported that some departments have been working on equivalencies with professional, technical, and vocational programs, and this proposal tracks best practices.
ACC Action
On February 18, 2025, a motion to approve the policy made by Midori Takagi, and seconded, was passed by a vote of nine yes, zero nine, one abstention. The Faculty Senate accepted the policy via approval of ACC minutes on March 10, 2025.
