Background

Article IV.1 of the Faculty Senate Constitution names the following officers of the Faculty Senate: President, President-elect, Secretary, and Appointments and Elections Officer.

The President-elect serves as Vice President of the Faculty Senate, presides over General Faculty Assemblies, and presides over the Faculty Senate and the Executive Council in the President's absence.

This position has been vacant.

Senate Action

A motion was made to nominate Michael Slouber, professor in the Global Humanities and Religions department, as Senate Vice-President/President Elect.

The motion passed unanimously.
