Standing Senate Committee Rosters

Background

Faculty Senate bylaws require Senate approval of the rosters of Senate Committees, Councils, and Commissions. These bodies act under the authority of the Faculty Senate, report to the Faculty Senate, and are subject to review by the Faculty Senate. Minutes of Commissions, Councils, and Committees of the Faculty Senate are forwarded to the Senate. 

Committee membership is determined by the Faculty Governance Council in each college with the exception of ad-hoc committees.

Senate Action

The Senate approved by general consent the following rosters, which will be posted to the Faculty Senate website:

• Senate Handbook Ad-Hoc Committee
• Academic Coordinating Commission
• Senate Library Committee
• Academic Technology Committee
• Outreach and Continuing Education Committee

Because several of the committees have vacant seats, the Senate may need to approve updated rosters at a later date once these seats are filled.
